About Us

Ginto Cafe's story begins not with brewing coffee, but with a reunion fueled by artistic passion. Founded by a group of friends who graduated from the prestigious Special Programs for the Arts at Baguio National High School (Class of 2004 & 2005). Ginto Cafe has its roots in a collective known as G.I.N.T.O. (Guild of Integrated Talents) - Baguio.

A Celebration of Arts

G.I.N.T.O. started as a reunion project, a chance for these talented alumni to reconnect and reignite their shared love for the arts. Their vision was clear: to celebrate artistic expression and share it with the Baguio community. The group boasted a diverse range of talents, including media artists, photographers, writers, visual artists, and theater artists.

Art for the Community

Beyond celebrating their own artistic journeys, G.I.N.T.O. was driven by a powerful social purpose. Proceeds from their art exhibitions fueled initiatives aimed at enriching the lives of others. They provided free art workshops for underprivileged children and schools in Baguio and Benguet, nurturing creativity in the next generation. Additionally, they conducted medical and dental missions, extending a helping hand to those in need within the community.

From Gallery to Cafe

The desire to create a sustainable platform for these impactful projects led to the birth of Ginto Cafe. They envisioned a space that transcended the boundaries of a traditional cafe. It would be a vibrant hub where artistic expression, community engagement, and delicious coffee could coexist. Ginto Cafe provided the perfect environment for the G.I.N.T.O. artists to conduct their workshops, fostering creativity in a welcoming and inspiring atmosphere.

A Legacy of Social Impact

Today, Ginto Cafe stands not just as a cafe, but as a testament to the enduring power of artistic passion and social responsibility. The story of Ginto Cafe is a reminder that a shared love for the arts can blossom into something far greater, enriching both the lives of the artists and the community they serve.
